Our coaches run skills clinics, assist at Edgemont Rec practices, coach travel teams, and train Edgemont players on a 1-on-1 or small-group basis.

ANTIONE (AJ) JOHNSON was a two-time MVP for the University of Albany and played professionally overseas. He is the founder and CEO the Team Overtime Bandits AAU program, runs basketball programming at Lifetime Fitness in Harrison, and has been working with Edgemont travel and recreational-level teams and players of all ages since 2013. AJ, along with colleagues Marquis Standard and Spencer Smith (also of Team Overtime), coaches Edgemont’s 6th-grade boys teams for the 2019-20 season.

MISHA GREEN starred at New Rochelle HS and was a 4-year player at SUNY-Plattsburgh. She is an assistant coach for Edgemont’s 5th- and 6th-grade girls travel teams and runs clinics for Edgemont players of all ages.

DAVID SCAGNELLI is an Edgemont resident, teacher in the Scarsdale schools, and former high school coach with over 20 years of professional experience. For the 2019-20 season, Dave is the head coach of the 5th-, 6th-, and 7th-grade Edgemont girls travel teams. He also runs clinics for Edgemont Recreation and offers small group and 1-on-1 training year-round.

LEE JOFFE is a former college basketball player who has coached club and travel teams for over 10 years. He is the founder and CEO of the Scarsdale-based Metro Hawks AAU program. Lee is coaching Edgemont’s 4th- and 5th-grade boys travel teams for the 2019-20 season.

BRIAN DAVIS is a teacher in the Edgemont schools and experienced youth basketball coach. Brian is the coach of the 7th-grade boys travel team for the 2019-20 season, and also runs clinics for Edgemont Recreation.

SHANE “DRIBBLE MACHINE” WONEY is a Bronx streetball legend and an original member of the AND-1 professional team. For the 2019-20 season, Coach Shane is working with Edgemont travel teams and individuals to improve players’ ballhandling, foot speed, and conditioning.

PAUL HILL coaches AAU for the Metro Hawks program. For Edgemont in 2019-20, he is assisting on the 4th, 5th, and 7th-grade boys travel teams and running skills clinics throughout the season.

ROB SAUERHAFT is an Edgemont resident and experienced travel and AAU coach. He specializes in 1-on-1 and small group training with an emphasis on shooting mechanics and basic fundamentals. Coach Rob will be an assistant coach in the Edgemont girls travel program for the 2019-20 season.

DARYL YOUNG is a speed, strength, and agility trainer who works with Edgemont travel players to improve their athleticism.

BILLY MURPHY has coached at the high school level in in the NYC area for over 20 years. He has led teams to the state finals in both New York and Connecticut. Coach Murphy assists travel teams and runs Edgemont Recreation clinics and practices.
