The Edgemont 7th-grade boys “B” Avengers had a season later start than most teams, and as a result showed some first-game jitters that led to early turnovers. But a stronger second half, powered by the team’s patented “high-low” offense, made it a contest. The Avengers ultimately fell 23-18, but Head Coach Blair Connelly noted the strong effort of his team including its unselfish play.
